Date Night

I liked the ones that did not taste like beer.

One of those days.

The heater is not working. The basement smells of gas. As I was getting in the car with the kids to evacuate until the air clears, I was stabbed in the back with a screwdriver.

On the plus side turning off the gas was easy and It's not below zero, so it could be much colder.

Thank-Christmas

We walked in the morning and we transitioned over to Rudolph for lunch.

No Hunger November

We walked a 5K to raise money for foodshelves and had a little fun along the way.

Child's Quote, with photo...

"Mom, I have an issue. There is a sliver in my butt."

(They asked me to take the photo. It's actually the back of the leg. No butts were exposed.)

Time Out

My little man is having a bad week. Three days in a row he has started a fight with his brother. Today he hit him in the eye with a shoe. Basic timeouts, grounding, going to bed early, and other techniques were not working. So, today he had to miss his favorite activity, choir. I left him with his sister. She has finals so he's in timeout in her room. Shortly after I leave she sends me two snaps. I should have know the solution to my drama boy issues would come from a gift I gave my drama girl a decade ago.

Christmas Legos

It's never too early to play with Legos...

Cinnamon Bear

It's time to start listening to the Cinnamon Bear. We got through episodes one through five while making our gingerbread houses.

Getting Crafty

I'm working on my 2016 hostess thank you gifts. It only cost me $7 to make all three. I love Christmas parties.

Bring on Christmas...

Yes, I'm one of those. I love Christmas. The day after Halloween is the beginning of the Christmas season at my house. Lights, decorations, and fun. I love it all. I love seeing it in the stores. I love seeing it on the streets. I love Christmas.

What about thanksgiving? I don't do that holiday. Turkey, hate it. Pumpkin pie, yuck. Football, nope. Being thankful, I do that everyday. And if a store is open, I'll go shopping! AND I'm not the only one, because if I was the stores would not be open.

So, bring on Christmas...

So you can fully understand my day...

Robert is on the shed roof!

Andrew Updates....

Today is the big day, Andrew's hernia surgery. The click clack is down and all made up. Everyone has their assigned "jobs". Dinnner is in the refrigerator waiting to be heated up. For 24 hours after we leave the hospital Andrew can not be left alone. AND there is no school on Tuesday.

10 am - We are on our way to the hospital. No food or drinks after midnight. Someone is hangry.

10:35 am - We are here!

10:50 am - He's gone to back to PreOp.

11:45 am - He's just a little nervous. Still hangry. About to get some happy drugs.

1:00 pm - He's going back to the operating room now. I'm going to lunch.

1:50 pm - He's out and way too awake for his own good. They gave him crackers and juice.

2:35 pm - He's been discharged. The doctor said everything went perfect. If he rests for the next two days, he can go back to work on Thursday. He's still hangry. I gave him my yogurt and rice crispy bar.

3:30 pm - We are home. They gave him a lot of drugs. He thinks he is fine. He thinks he can work tomorrow. He is not. He is just on that many pain killers. I fed him and put him to bed. Unless something unexpected or really funny happens, this will be my last update today.
